Osiris Products

Osiris is limited only by your imagination, but that doesn't mean you won't need a few essentials to get you started on the path of making up your own totally awesome collective stories with your friends. At the very least, you are going to want the Osirs core rulebook. This single tome contains everything you need to know to play the game. After that, you may want to download the free introductory adventure that Todd and Jeff wrote, both to play, and as an example of how the rules all work and fit together.

Next, there are a variety of expansions and supplements planned to be released in the near future in order to cover a broader variety of game types. Or magic system is essential for fantasy settings, and our ship rules are likely key to a space game (or a pirate game). Also, don't forget to check out the Osiris Resources page for smaller-scale releases that can make your game experiece better but don't quite qualify as a full product. And finally, if you don't see what you want here, you are free to write it yourself, and even publish it under the Osiris rule system.

Current and soon-to-come products are listed below. Click the covers below for details.

Osiris: Runestorm (Adventure)
Greg Dent
June 2015 - PDF, Free
A small group of primitive tribesmen, left out in the desert to die, discover an ancient secret that the sands had concealed for thousands of years. In probing the mysterious ruins, the group gain extraordinary powers, powers that will take them beyond the lands of the Marat and into the stars, where the destiny of the galaxy will be forever changed.

Runestorm is a free introductory adventure for the Osiris RPG system. It takes place in the Cygnus X-1 setting, created specifically for Osiris. The Cygnus X-1 setting is also introduced and detailed in this 72-page super-adventure.

Runestorm is available only on pdf (hey, it's free), so there's no excuse not to download it right now. At the very least, download it just to steal the massive number of Osiris enemies and monster stats that Greg created for the adventure.

The Books of Magic
Todd Morasch, Greg Dent, Jeff Welker
2015 - Boxed Set, eBook, Price Unknown
The long-awaited magic system for Osiris fantasy settings. Actually, our magic system came long ago, and can be traced back over a decade to an alternative magic system for D&D that we wanted to do at Bastion. We wanted something more "realistic", more based on how natural things actually work than the existing "grab-bag" type collections of random spells that most systems used.

The books of magic allow spellcasters to learn basic spells first, and then unlock more complex powers as they expand their knowledge, with each higher spell being a combination of talents already learned. A mage who knows how to create wind and fire could cast a flame jet next, say. A mage who can make light might then be able to make an illusion, and so on. Each field of knowledge is contained in a book, and the most powerful spells of all require knowledge of several disciplines.

The initial boxed set includes the books of life and death, light and darkness, beast and plant, and earth, air, water, and fire.

Specific release date is unknown at this time.
Also check out our Osiris Resources page for tons of free content and game aids.
